Yes! She's a she, and she is an AWESOME writer. One of my favorites, I think.
I've read a trilogy she's written, before. The Bone Doll's Twin/Hidden Warrior/The Oracle's Queen.
It was a a story about gender identity, ghosts and destiny. Also, it was AWESOME.
